The algorithm then shows more of it. People react again. The loop restarts. Fear also sticks because it is a basic human survival signal. The internet did not create fear. It only learned how to use it for clicks. So the real problem is not fear itself. The problem is a design that treats fear as valuable. As long as fear brings quick engagement, the system will keep pushing it. When we change what we react to, the value of fear drops. When the value drops, the system stops feeding the loop. @DavidMedeiros §
