We have been asked to review some of the concerns you raise. Please know that through our statement of work (SOW) with CMS and federal statute we are limited into what we can review. But it appears that the Federal Government is taking your concerns seriously. To ensure we are able to efficiently and appropriately evaluate the information with in our scope, we are focusing on specific situations where you have direct, firsthand knowledge of services provided or billed. This allows us to assess the information accurately and determine whether further review is warranted, in that it falls within our scope of work. At this time, we are requesting additional detail regarding specific incidents you personally observed or were directly involved in. General concerns or secondhand information are difficult to evaluate without a clear factual basis tied to a particular event.
