Thank you Marc E. Fitch, this confirms what ABI Resources has been saying all along: Connecticutâs government has been prioritizing pension debt over the needs of its most vulnerable residents. ABI Resources reported these issues to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, and now it seems the state is scrambling to justify its actions. Itâs shocking to learn that federal funds meant for social servicesâservices that people desperately needâmay have been used to cover pension debt instead. This isnât just a budgeting issue; itâs a violation of public trust. Vulnerable populations, like individuals with disabilities and low-income families, are suffering because of these choices. The fact that these revelations are coming to light after ABI Resourcesâ whistleblower efforts shows the power of transparency and advocacy. Connecticut needs to answer for these decisions, and the federal government must step in to ensure that taxpayer dollars are used for their intended purpose: helping people, not filling budget gaps. Thank you, Marc, for exposing this. The people deserve to know the truth.
