source description

Art and the brain are closely related. Art can affect the brain in many ways and the brain can also affect how we perceive and experience art. The brain processes visual information, interprets it and then creates an emotional and cognitive response to it. Different areas of the brain are involved in this process, including the visual cortex, the amygdala and the insula, among others. Art can stimulate these areas, leading to positive emotions and improved mood, as well as increased brain activity and creativity. Moreover, the brain can also influence our personal preferences in art, as it is shaped by our experiences and cultural background.
