COMPANION SERVICES | ABI RESOURCES
Companion services, also known as personal care or personal assistance, is a service that provides support to individuals with disabilities, including those with acquired brain injuries (ABI), to help them with activities of daily living. The specific services offered through companion services can vary, but may include things such as assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting, as well as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation. Companion services are typically provided by trained caregivers, who may work for a home care agency or be self-employed. The goal of companion services is to help individuals with disabilities maintain their independence and live as safely and comfortably as possible in their own homes or community. ABI Resources works with multiple organizations, including DSS, DMHAS, WWP, CCC, CCCI, SWCAA, WCAAA, Allied, Yale, UConn, Gaylord, HFSC, and more to provide the best care for individuals. https://www.ctbraininjury.com/ctcommunitycare-home-companion
