Our organization, based in Connecticut, is dedicated to supporting the independence and rights of individuals with disabilities, aligning closely with ADAPT’s focus on personal assistance services, community-based living, and anti- discrimination. In Connecticut, we face significant systemic challenges that are severely impacting the lives and rights of individuals with disabilities. These challenges are complex, encompassing issues related to access to personal assistance services, barriers to community-based living, and widespread discrimination. These issues not only violate the rights of individuals with disabilities but also hinder their full participation in community life. Given ADAPT's history of effective advocacy and direct action in promoting the rights of people with disabilities, your involvement could be crucial in our fight for systemic change in Connecticut. We are in need of strong voices and action-oriented strategies to challenge the status quo and advocate for the rights and dignity of our community.
